A large number of cats has been temporarily placed on the property of a friend of a woman who has lost her home. They were rescued Saturday morning by Tri State CART under the direction of the Highland County Humane Society, according to an announcement from CART.
The total count is approximately 60 cats. Morrison said they appear to be well socialized and in relatively good health. There will be a veterinarian on site to determine further health conditions. They are a variety of black and white, multi colored, Calicos, etc., ages 4 months to 4 years.
“If you can please take one or two of these cats, please contact Evelyn Black at 513-703-7474. Cats are being picked up Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and will be held for a very short period of time by Tri State CART. And we all know what happens if we cannot come together and step forward to help these guys,” she said.
The Highland County Humane Society is full and cannot accept these cats. Tri State CART can only hold them for the next two weeks.
