Noah's Wish - Arkansas

E-mail Print PDF

Well the sun has finally come out in Arkansas – for the first time since Noah's Wish sheltering team arrived last week it’s not raining! According to the weather report, they are supposed to have 5-6 days of dry, warm days. Nobody is happier about the change in weather than the Noah's Wish volunteers onsite! Maybe they’ll have a chance to get warm and dry out. A few dry days may also give the rivers a chance to recede, as well as allow residents to get back in their homes.

Animal Rescue Cost Eligible for FEMA Reimbursement

E-mail Print PDF

Many people refer to the PETS Act as an "unfunded mandate", suggesting that local communities will not be reimbursed for activities to bring them in compliance with the PETS Ac. This notion is incorrect. Actually, the PETS Act is backed by every dollar FEMA spends on training and equipping local emergency responders.
