Noah's Wish Closes Shelters in Arkansas and Illinois

E-mail Print PDF

After a very successful deployment to Arkansas (tornado) and Illinois (flood) Noah's Wish is shutting down the emergency animal shelters. As always, the biggest problem Noah's Wish shelter managers face are the unclaimed animals.

This is also the most expensive part of operating a shelter. During a disaster the local emergency system will pay for the cost of operating a shelter. However, there is no funding for fostering or adoptions. Noah's Wish picks up the tab for these activities. Please vist the Noah's Wish web site at http://noahswish.org to donate money. Noah's Wish volunteers do NOT receive any money for their services. All moneys receoved will therefor go to the cost of helping the animals.

DART trainer Charlie Crosby was shelter manager in Arkansas. She will be returning home soon.
